Class Project Update

Kindergarten: Ms. Mellow

Staycation: 'Portland Families Rock' a package for music lovers. In it will be a Family 4 pack of VIP passes to the Sasquatch Music Festival on Memorial Day Weekend up at the Gorge. The package will also contain CDS from local Portland bands who've "made it". Thanks to Erin and Aaron Rothrocke for their generous donation of a yurt for 4 so the family that wins the bid on the Staycation can use it up at the Gorge for the festival.

a.. Class decorative panel project featuring salmon - medium to be determined - produced by the children

b.. Guided autumn chanterelle mushroom hunt and subsequent mushroom feast: Rob

c.. Wall o' wine at the auction

e.. Basket of fairy items

-----------------------------

Fifth grade

1. Bowling/dinner package from Grand Central bowling

2. Poker tournament -Two 5th grade parents did this once before for their previous school's auction and she described it: The way it worked was we would sell 16 seats at the tables for $50/seat. Then they would come and play and we would serve drinks and heavy appetizers all evening. Mike would run the tables and we would get 2 guest dealers to help. The top 3 places would actually take home modest cash winnings.

3. The students will work on a woven tapestry.

4. The staycation is evolving, somehow combining two massages by one of our parents, a new vacuum and a Nourishing Traditions cookbook...

  1. Hey Amy, not seeing the item I wrote you about a few weeks back. Pie with a Pirate? Let me know if you need the info again. Sherry and I would like for it to be one of Ms. Lowman's class offerings =)
